This is the only way you can get me to eat cabbage.

Recipe Ingredients

1-1/2 lbs. ground pork, beef or turkey
1 med. head cabbage, chopped
1 can Ro*tel diced tomatoes & chile's; undrained
1 c. raw rice
salt & pepper (to taste)
1/4 c. water
1 medium onion, diced
1/2 c. diced celery
1 Tblsp. chopped garlic

SAUCE:

1/2 stick butter
1 tbsp. wheat flour
1 c. milk
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese; cubed

Directions

Brown meat in a large skillet. Drain grease.
Add seasonings, tomatoes, Ro*tel, rice and water. Cook for about 5 minutes.

Stir in chopped cabbage. Cover with lid and cook an additional 5 minutes. Place all ingredients in a large casserole dish, if not using an oven safe skillet. Set aside and begin making sauce.

Melt butter in a saucepan, then flour and blend with a whisk until smooth. Add milk & cheese. Stir and heat until cheese is melted and smooth.
Pour sauce over casserole.

Bake for 1-1/2 hours at 350*.

*I place my pan/casserole dish onto a cookie sheet to prevent any of the sauce from cooking over & making a mess in the oven*
