1 pound of ground turkey1 pound of smoked turkey link sausage cut in 1/4/inch slices
1 onion, chopped
3 stalks of celery, chopped
1 clove chopped garlic
1 medium head cabbage, chopped
2 cans Rotel tomatoes, this is the kicker, yummy
14 1/2 ounces of water
1 cup uncooked rice
season as desired with salt, I don't use any at all and it is delicious
Directions
In a large sauce pan over medium heat combine ground turkey and smoked sausage along with the onion, celery and garlic. Cook until turkey is evenly brown. Stir in cabbage, rotel, water and rice. Season with salt if you desire. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 35 to 40 minutes, or until rice is done.People that told me they hated cabbage gobbled this down.
